Halted by the gentle flow of comfort

As if,
he wanted to hold her
forever
inside his truth

Between the sleepless nights
    and oblivious mornings,
       she slipped into chaos,
    tears threatened to leak
from her bruised heart

"Tell me everything that I want to hear."

And she cries.

                                   caught behind her broken lips

"Is this all we get to be absolute?"

Hands,
floated between the barriers of skin and emotion,
       passing through the shields she
places
    everything
       behind

"I'm sorry."
